What is Lip Blush? Lip blushing is a semi-permanent makeup procedure used to enhance the color of your lips. To achieve your desired lip shade, your artist will use a machine to deposit small, pixelated dots of custom mixed colors into the lips. Doing this will give your lips the appearance of a natural lipstick like or “blushed” look. Who is the ideal candidate for Lip Blush? Lip Blush is ideal for those who love a naturally blushed lip or if those who prefer an easy, makeup-like finish for your daily lip shade. Our goal is to provide you with a natural, customized lip shade that complements your undertones, resulting in fuller, more symmetrical-looking lips. *Note: If you have natural dark pigments or pigmentation on your lips, neutralization must be done before applying your desired shade. The neutralization process is unique for everyone, and your artist will communicate the necessary steps for the best lip blush results, as no two lips are the same.* What should I expect during my appointment? This appointment will take 2 hours (may take up to 2H 30M), with one hour dedicated to mapping and outlining your natural lip line. Your artist will discuss your desired shade and outcome with you. After the discussion, your artist will map your natural lip shape based on your facial structure. Once the shape is mapped out, it will be set with setting powder to give you an idea of the finished shaded areas. If you are pleased with the mapped shape, your artist will start the Lip Blush process. What is the healing process like? What will my lips look like after? After your appointment, your lips will be swollen and tender. The swelling will subside within a few hours. As your lips heal, they will appear much darker than the final shade. After a few days, it may seem as though no shading was done. Remember not to judge the color until your lips are fully healed, typically within 1 to 2 months. What is aftercare like? While your lips are healing, remember to keep them clean and hydrated. You can clean the area with a fragrance-free soap 24 hours after the appointment, followed by Aquaphor for hydration. You will be provided with a list of aftercare instructions which will be explained in more detail during your initial appointment.
