What are Ombre Powder Brows? Ombre Powder Brows, also known as Powder Brows or Microshading, is a semi-permanent makeup procedure used to enhance the appearance of your eyebrows. To achieve Ombre Powder Brows, your artist will use a machine to deposit small, pixelated dots of pigment into the skin, giving the appearance of soft and natural powdered or shaded eyebrows. Who is the ideal candidate for Ombre Powder Brows? Ombre Brows are great for individuals with sparse or uneven brows—those who are looking for an easy makeup-like finish for their daily natural eyebrows. Our goal is to provide everyone with natural-looking and flattering results based on individual facial structure and desired look. What should I expect during my appointment? This appointment takes 2 hours, with one hour dedicated to mapping and shaping your brows. Your artist will discuss your desired shape, shade, and outcome with you. After the discussion, your artist will map your ideal brow shape based on your facial structure. Once the shape is mapped out, it will be drawn in with an eyebrow pencil to give you an idea of what the finished results will look like. If you are happy with the mapped shape, your artist will start the pigment process. What is the healing process like? What will my brows look like after? The healing process for Ombre Brows can take up to 1 month. After your appointment, the brow area will be slightly swollen and tender. As your brows heal, they will appear much darker than the shade they will stay. Remember not to judge the color until your brows are fully healed. This normally takes 1 month but can take up to 2 months. What is aftercare like? While your brows are healing, it is important to remember to keep them clean and hydrated. You can clean the area with a fragrance-free gentle detergent 24 hours after the appointment, followed by an unscented moisturizer (Aquaphor works best). You will be provided with a list of aftercare instructions, which we will explain in more detail during your initial appointment.
